1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or using DraftCareer ("we," "us," the "Service"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
2. The Service
DraftCareer helps you build a profile once and generate résumés and cover letters from it across a library of templates, with optional AI-assisted writing help. You're responsible for the accuracy of anything you enter — we don't verify your work history, education, or any other claim you put in a document.
3. Accounts
You need an account to use the Service, created with an email/password or by signing in with Google or LinkedIn. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use DraftCareer.
4. Free and paid plans
The Free plan gives you full profile editing, two résumé templates, and a lifetime cap of 5 PDF downloads (résumés and cover letters combined) — re-downloading a document you've already generated is always free and doesn't count against the cap. The Paid plan unlocks every template, unlimited downloads, cover letters, and AI writing-assist, billed monthly, quarterly, or annually as shown on our pricing page. Prices are shown in the currency and amount displayed at checkout.
5. Billing, cancellation, and refunds
Subscriptions are billed in advance for each period (monthly, quarterly, or annual) and renew automatically until cancelled. Polar Software, Inc. acts as our authorized reseller (Merchant of Record) for all purchases — your receipt and any tax charged will come from Polar, and Polar handles payment processing and tax compliance on our behalf.
Cancellation: you can cancel anytime from My Account, effective at the end of your current billing period — you keep paid access until then, and you won't be charged again.
Refunds: if you're unhappy with your purchase, contact us within 7 days of your first payment for a full refund. Refund requests after that window, or for renewal charges on a subscription you didn't cancel in time, are considered on a case-by-case basis.
6. AI-generated content
AI writing-assist features (onboarding generation, "polish," "expand," "condense," and cover letter drafting) produce a starting draft based on the information you provide — they don't verify facts and can produce mistakes or generic phrasing. Review and edit anything AI-assisted before using it. We don't guarantee that using DraftCareer, with or without AI features, will result in interviews or job offers.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to create fraudulent, defamatory, or knowingly false documents about yourself or anyone else.
- Attempt to bypass plan limits, billing, or authentication.
- Interfere with the Service's normal operation (e.g. excessive automated requests) or attempt to access another user's account or data.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
8. Your content and our templates
You own the profile information and document content you enter. The template designs, site design, and underlying software are ours (or our licensors') and aren't transferred to you — a subscription grants you a license to use them to generate your own documents, not to redistribute or resell the templates themselves.
9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, DraftCareer isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including reliance on AI-generated content or any hiring outcome. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
10. Termination
You can delete your account anytime from My Account → Danger Zone, which permanently removes your profile, résumés, and cover letters. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms; where reasonably possible we'll give notice first.
11. Changes to these terms
If we materially change these terms, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
